Military Law
Since 2006, I have represented members of the US Army facing courts-martial, article 15’s (NJP), administrative board and conscientious objector hearings, as well as assisted soldiers seeking an early discharge. I have also assisted veterans with seeking an upgrade of their prior military discharge as well as fighting against recoupments.
As a solo attorney, I am only able to take select cases. I'm most interested in cases involving these issues:
- AWOL cases of servicemembers who have left the USA while absent and are seeking to return to the US to resolve their AWOL status - (I have worked with dozens of servicemembers in this situation over the years and have techniques that can make the return go as smoothly as possible)
- Members of the US Army who are currently AWOL from either Basic Training or AIT, and who want to return to military control at the Fort Sill PCF (Personnel Control Facility).
- Cases of public war resisters and other members of the military who are facing retribution for free speech actions.
- Contesting the recoupment of education expenses (such as when a military academy cadet is unable to complete their contractural term of service)
- Consulting with other civilian attorneys who are wanting an experienced co-counsel on board for their first military case.
